NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME
The college has an nss with two units, each unit consists of 100 students.
The regular activities of nss units are:
- Blood donation camps
- Rain, storm and earthquake relief works.
- AIDS awareness program.
- Medical aids camps.
- Eye camps.
- Rural development programmes.
- Veterinary camps.
- Adult education programmes,
- Aim based cycle rallies.
- Traffic regulations.

NATIONAL CADET CORPS

The college has an NCC unit of air wing[attached to 4TN AIR SQN[TECH] WING.IIT.Chenai] with 50 cadets. The students have taken part in important festival parades like Independence day and republic day parades at state level and national levels and have won medals and appreciation for their best performance.
Besides the students are deputed for rigorous training to different training camps and they have come out with medals and prizes winning the various contests in camp.

YOUTH RED CROSS SOCIETY
The Youth Red Cross society is the most important constituent of its mother organization Indian Red Cross Society. The main objective of the YRC movement is based on the principles of
- Protection of health and life
- Service to the sick and suffering
- Promotion of national and international friendship to develop the Mental and
- Moral capacity of the youth.
At the time of emergencies the YRC student members voluntarily donate blood. |

MUTHAMIZH MANDRAM

Muthamizh Mandram was started with the main motive of serving mother Tamil to enrich Tamil knowledge and to create a mindset to render yeoman service to mother Tamil.
Many great Tamil Scholars are invited to deliver impressive speeches with special topics
In order to bring out the latent latent of the students, many competitions are conducted and prizes given to deserving ones.

HOBBY CLUB
The Hobby Club was inaugurated on 23rd August 2007. An Exhibition on “60 years of Growth and Progress of India” was conducted by Hobbies Club of APEC. Competitions like English Essay writing, Tamil Essay writing, Clay modeling, Rangoli, Collage, Pencil sketching, Water colouring, Crayon rendering, Stamp Collection, Coin Collection were conducted.
Hobby Club observed communal Harmony Day on 24th November 2007, based on the instruction sent by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, fostering of communal Harmony, national integration and fraternity, Competitions essay writing & Drawing were organized for students, prizes were distributed to the winners.
